The Artist - Shilpa has been learning Bharathanatyam under her Guru, Hema Sharma, for the past 10 years since her inception into dance at the age of 6. She began dancing in Kansas City, KS and continued after moving to Ames, IA in 1996.

She has performed in numerous cultural programs in and around Kansas City and Ames. Shilpa has also pursued her love for the performing arts.
